25th June 2020
Following this week’s announcements, we are very pleased to confirm that restrictions have been lifted to allow travel to holiday homes from the 4th July 2020.
The lifting of restrictions allows us to let our properties with same day changeovers subject to enhanced housekeeping requirements which we have put in place. The only other condition attached to holiday homes is that up to two households may share a property – both households also include the “bubble” they are linked to.
Due to the enhanced housekeeping requirements, we ask that all guests arrive no earlier than 4pm on the day of arrival and leave by 10am on the day of departure. Please also remember that the lifting of restrictions doesn’t start until Saturday the 4th July, so if you have a booking with a Friday arrival you will be allowed to access the property from the morning of the 4th July onwards only.
York’s vibrant independent restaurant, bar and bistro sector have been hit hard by the lockdown, and are working hard to reopen through June to welcome visitors back to York, as well providing additional takeaway and delivery services. When we return to letting our properties from July, we would very much appreciate that you respect social distancing rules and your consideration for local residences and our staff and fellow guests.
Thank you again for your ongoing support, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our beautiful City from July.
Best wishes, and take care.
The team at Wheelwrights York.
