Standing on the original Roman road into Eboracum and at the Royal entrance into York since medieval times Trinity View has witnessed all of the history of York.The house dates from 1780 and has, amongst many others, been a vicarage, the venue of York’s magic lantern society and seances, a pharmacists and York’s first greengrocers. It was initially a prestigious Georgian home and then descended into both a stone masons for Trinity Church and Jacob’s Well, and also a blacksmiths for the York to London Stagecoach. Once it had no less than 15 residents in three families, plus horses, resident on the property. Now carefully restored as an English Heritage Listed Building to it’s former glory, it is filled with antiques, original features and information about it’s past heritage.
Close to all the local attractions, and only 5 minutes walk away from the train station, the apartment is light and spacious. . The apartment is beautifully decorated and furnished, and benefits from secondary glazing and wooden window shutters, guaranteeing peace and quiet despite the lively central location.
Trinity View has the City centre luxury of an outside garden area, with a little cover and garden seating. A quiet oasis for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
There is a separate kitchen with breakfast bar, a large well furnished living room and a sumptuous bathroom with a roll top slipper bath and separate shower enclosure. The bright well fitted kitchen also contains a washer/dryer and fridge/freezer.
The bedroom has large fitted wardrobes and a stunning double bed originating from the same period that the house was built.
The whole apartment is warmed by under-floor heating. The perfect place to stay and explore the city of York.
There is no parking with this apartment but we do have 3 large long stay car-parks within a few minutes walk.

Micklegate is one of York’s most famous historic streets, once the main ceremonial entrance into the city. Kings and queens processed through Micklegate Bar, the impressive medieval gateway that still stands today. The street itself is lined with period buildings, independent shops, and a thriving mix of pubs, restaurants, and cafés. Just a short walk from York station, Micklegate combines rich history with a lively modern atmosphere, making it a popular base for visitors.
